چکیده

Mycoplasma anserisalpingitidis infection is associated with the inflammation of genital tract and cloaca, embryo lethality, decreased egg production in geese, leading to serious economic losses. M. has been detected mainly Central Eastern Europe, especially Hungary, but pathogen was identified recently China, predicting it’s worldwide occurrence. In this study, a novel multilocus sequence typing (MLST) scheme developed analyse phylogenetic relationships between field isolates clinical specimens originating from different geographical locations. Five loci (atpG, fusA, pgiB, plsY, uvrA) were selected for final MLST study. The examined 89 samples yielded 76 unique types 0.994 Simpson’s index diversity. originated Poland, Ukraine, Vietnam. Phylogenetic analysis revealed existence three distinct clades (A–C) six subclades within clade C. Generally, same locations or livestock integration clustered together. Isolates A showed closest anatis outgroup due similarity plsY locus. highest genetic distance observed 5C among C, containing Asian some Hungarian isolates. assay high diversity investigated samples. method proved be valuable cost-effective tool waterfowl species, enabling better understanding its phylogeny providing robust future molecular epidemiological investigations.

Development of Multilocus Sequence Typing (MLST) for Mycoplasma synoviae.

Mycoplasma synoviae (MS) is a poultry pathogen that has had an increasing incidence and economic impact over the past few years. Strain identification is necessary for outbreak investigation, infection source identification, and facilitating prevention and control as well as eradication efforts. Currently, a segment of the variable lipoprotein hemagglutinin A (vlhA) gene (420 bp) is the only ta...

Multilocus Sequence Typing of the Clinical Isolates of Salmonella Enterica Serovar Typhimurium in Tehran Hospitals

Background: Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium is one of the most important serovars of Salmonella enterica and is associated with human salmonellosis worldwide. Many epidemiological studies have focused on the characteristics of Salmonella Typhimurium in many countries as well as in Asia. This study was conducted to investigate the genetic characteristics of Salmonella Typhimurium using m...

The multilocus sequence typing network: mlst.net

The unambiguous characterization of strains of a pathogen is crucial for addressing questions relating to its epidemiology, population and evolutionary biology. Multilocus sequence typing (MLST), which defines strains from the sequences at seven house-keeping loci, has become the method of choice for molecular typing of many bacterial and fungal pathogens (and non-pathogens), and MLST schemes a...

Development of a multilocus sequence typing scheme for the opportunistic pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

A multilocus sequence typing (MLST) scheme has been developed for Pseudomonas aeruginosa which provides molecular typing data that are highly discriminatory and electronically portable between laboratories. MLST data confirm the data from previous studies that suggest that P. aeruginosa is best described as nonclonal but as having an epidemic population. The index of association was 0.17, indic...
